Day 1 - January 9 - Davao City
4:35am - ETD NAIA T3
6:25am - ETA Davao International Airport
Upon arrival at the DIA, I took sa cab to Green Windows Dormitel for P161 pesos.
Green Windows backpacker dorm type is P188/night.
Breakfast - P60
8:00am to 12:00nn - I decided to sleep and have some rest.
Lunch - P50
1:00pm - Walk around downtown and visited:
D'Bone Collector Museum - entrance fee costs P80
Museo Dabawenyo - Free entrance from Monday to Friday
People's Park - free entrance
Roxas Night Market - Dinner costs me P75
I did not take any cab or jeepney to go to these places, I just went there by walking
9:00pm - I went back to Green Windows to wash up and rest.
Total Expenses: P614.00

Day 2 - January 10 - South Cotabato
1:30am - Check-out from Green Windows
I took a cab going to Ecoland Bus Terminal and it costs P60.
It is recommended to travel to GenSan early because travel time is around 3-4 hours. Bus from Davao to GenSan is 24hrs.
✔✔Take note that when there is a checkpoint, get off the bus and bring your bags for checking.
2:00am - ETD Davao to GenSan, Aircon non-stop bus fare is P240.
5:00am - ETA General Santos City (Bulaong bus terminal)
From Bulaong bus terminal, you need to transfer to another bus bound for Marbel or also known as Koronadal City, travel time is about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half. Aircon bus fare is P85
6:00am - ETA Marbel
             Breakfast - P35
From Marbel, there are vans bound for Lake Sebu, terminal is just beside Mindanao Star bus terminal. Travel time takes up to 1 hour and 30 mins and fare is P80.
7:30am - ETA Lake Sebu Terminal
Meet and greet with the tour guide.

7:45am - Start of Lake Sebu Tour (Habal habal ride, UNLIMITED TOUR for P500)
Our first stop is the 7 waterfalls of Lake Sebu - Entrance is P80
1st of 7 waterfalls
2nd of 7 waterfalls
(The 3rd - 7th are currently closed because of the rain/weather in the past few days)
Zipline from 1st waterfall to 2nd waterfall is closed for maintenance as well.
Lake Sebu's lotus tour (boat is P200)
Lake Holon is closed for maintenance as well
Cold Spring in Lake Sebu
12:45pm - End of Lake Sebu Tour
Once the tour is done, Kuya Eric will drop you to Lake Sebu terminal. Ride a van bound for Marbel.
1:00pm - ETD Lake Sebu - fare is P80
Ask the driver to drop you Mindanao Star or Yellow Bus line terminal in Marbel
2:30pm - ETA Marbel
Lunch - P60
3:00pm - ETD Marbel to General Santos, Mindanao Star aircon bus fare is P85
4:00pm - ETA General Santos City (Gaisano Mall)
From Gaisano Mall, you can pitch a habal habal ride to tour you around GenSan but for me, I opted to check-in at Limelily Pension Inn to take a rest. P500/night
Habal ride from Gaisano Mall to Limelily Pension Inn is P80.
Dinner - P100
Onwards - Sleep. Rest.

Day 3 - January 11 - Back to Davao
You can also opt to go to Gumasa Beach, Glan, Sarangani Province for a day tour but for me I opted to go back to Davao City to meet a friend going to Mati City.
1:30am - Check-out from Limelily Pension Inn
From Limelily, ride a tricycle and tell the driver that you are going to Bulaong Bus Terminal (GenSan Bus Terminal). Fare is P15 only.
From Bulaong Terminal ride a bus bound for Davao City, travel time takes 3-4 hours.
Don't forget the checkpoint routine
2:00am - ETD GenSan to Davao City - Mindanao Star aircon bus fare is P240
6:00am - ETA Davao City
From Davao Ecoland bus terminal I took a cab to Green Windows Domitel for P61.
Check-in at Green Windows for P188 and I decided to sleep and take a rest.
Breakfast - P50
Lunch - P60
12:00pm - Prep, wash-up, Check-out
2:00pm - Meet up with a friend who will be joining me in Mati City.
From Green Windows, I took a cab to GMall where the terminal of vans going to Mati is Located. P60
You can also opt to ride a jeep if you are in a budget trip, you may ask the locals where to ride a jeepney and where to get off.
3:00pm - ETD Davao to Mati
Vans to Mati depart depending on the number of passengers, they let the van full before departing. Fare is P200
Travel time from Davao to Mati is 4-5 hours so it is a good decision to travel in the afternoon so when you arrive in Mati, just check-in, social, and rest.
8:00pm - ETA Mati City
When you arrive in Mati City Terminal, you may contact KUYA MON - (0935) 711 6931, he is a habal habal driver and a tour guide.
There are several resorts in Dahican Beach but they are pricey for just the 2 of us. Cheapest is P2K. So Kuya Mon recommended Blue Bless Resort, it is a by-the-beach resort and their cheapest room for 2 is non-aircon kubo at P1,000/night or P500/head for 2.
Onwards - Check-in, Social, walk by the beach, photo ops. Rest.
Total Expenses: P1374.00

Day 4 - January 12 - Mati City Tour
6:00am - Wake-up time, walk by the beach, photo ops.
Breakfast - P150
12:00pm - Check-out from Blue Bless Resort
Contact Kuya Mon to get you and start you Mati City Tour for P700 if Solo and divide it by 2 if you are a group of 2. We visited the following spots:
Dahican Beach - Photo Ops, you can also opt to swim, entrance is free.
Subangan Museum of Davao Oriental - entrance fee is P50
Mindanao Flying Saga, Airport - entrance is free just tell the guard that you are there to inquire
Pangyan Hot Spring - entrance is P10
Pangyan Waterfalls
Mati Baywalk - free entrance
Overlooking Mati viewdeck - free
Viewdeck Bulalohan - P70 with rice
5:00pm - End of Mati Tour
From viewdeck bulaluhan, you can ride a bus there bound for Davao City. Kuya Mon will help you ride the bus.
Bus fare from Mati to Davao City is P240 - aircon
9:00pm - ETA Davao City
From Ecoland Bus Terminal, I took a cab going to Hotel Uno, paid P60. I booked a non-aircon room for only P41.00 (thanks to travelbook.ph for the doscount)
Dinner - P70
Onwards - Wash-up, rest
Total expenses: P1391.00

Day 5 - January 13 - Samal Island and Talicud Island
5:00am - Check-out from Hotel Uno
I took a cab going to Sasa Wharf for P60
From Sasa Wharf ride a Roro to Samal Island - fare is P10, travel time is 15-20 mins only.

8:00am - Start of Samal Island Tour (P500)
Places to visit:
Hagimit Falls - entrance fee is P25
Bat Cave
Maxima
Bluebird Viewdeck - Entrance is P10
Kaputian Beach - Entrance is P10
You may also ask Kuya Jobert for other places to visit in Samal Island if you have enough time but for me, I opted to go to Talicud Island and just relax at Isla Reta Beach Resort.
11:00am - ETD Kaputian to Talicud Island
There are boats in Kaputian Beach bound for Talicud Island, travel time is about 15 mins and fare is P20.
Alternatively, if you want to skip Samal Island and go directly to Talicud Island, you may ride a boat from Sta. Ana pier in Davao City, first trip is 9am and last trip is 3pm.
You may also contact Kuya Art (0912) 515 4839 if you opt to have a tour in Talicud Island.
11:30am - Check-in at Isla Reta Resort
- Entrance fee is P100 for daytour
- Rates of Isla Reta can be found in google
- Lunch - P210
Just be reminded that boat from Isla Reta to Sta. Ana Wharf, Davao City is until 3pm only and you have to board the boat at 2:30pm, fare is P80 and travel time is about 45mins to 1 hour.
4:00pm - ETA Sta. Ana Wharf
4:30pm - Taxi from Sta. Ana wharf to Airport - P160
Airport Terminal Fee - P200
6:35pm - ETD Davao to Manila
9:05pm - ETA Manila
